Ingredients
500g lentils, rinsed
A few sprigs of parsley, chopped
1 carrot, finely chopped
1 onion, finely chopped
10 cloves garlic, minced
2 tsp red pepper
2 tsp salt
2 tsp savory
1-2 tomatoes, grated
1 bell pepper, finely chopped
3-4 tbsp oil
2 tbsp flour
1 celery stalk, finely chopped
Water or broth, as needed

How to Prepare
1️⃣ Sauté the vegetables: In a large pot, heat the oil over medium heat. Add the onion, garlic, and carrot with a bit of water and sauté until soft.
2️⃣ Add lentils & spices: Stir in the washed lentils and red pepper. Pour in 2-3 cups of water or broth, mix well, and let simmer for 20 minutes.
3️⃣ Incorporate the remaining ingredients: Add the grated tomatoes, bell pepper, celery, savory, and salt. Stir and add more liquid if needed.
4️⃣ Thicken the stew: Let simmer a little longer, then mix the flour with some water and stir it into the stew to thicken.
5️⃣ Finish & serve: Remove from heat and sprinkle with freshly chopped parsley. Serve warm and enjoy!
